Send a secret message

Write it, and we turn it into Morse code. Your friend gets a link and has to crack it.

Need an idea?

. . .

Just for fun: anyone with the link can decode it, so don't send anything truly private.

How it works

  1. Write your message and add your name if you like.
  2. Copy the link and send it by text, WhatsApp, Instagram or anywhere else. The preview won't give it away.
  3. Your friend hears the Morse code, works it out with the chart, and can send one back.

Frequently asked questions

Does my friend need to know Morse code?

No. The page plays the signal, shows the dots and dashes, and has a chart to look up each letter. Most short messages take a couple of minutes to crack.

Do we need an app or an account?

No. It all works in the browser, for you and for them. There's nothing to sign up for.

Is the message really secret?

It's a game, not encryption. The message is hidden from link previews, but anyone with the link can decode it. Don't send passwords or anything truly private.

Do you store my message?

No. The message lives inside the link itself, so nothing is saved on our servers.
