Daily Morse challenge

One word a day, played by ear. Six guesses, no account, and the same word for everyone.

Daily Morse #229 · 2026-09-18

Guess 1 of 6

How to play

Press listen. The word plays as Morse, letter by letter, and nothing is written down for you.

Type what you heard. Green means the letter is in the right place, amber means it is in the word somewhere else, grey means it is not in the word at all.

Every second listen the code slows down, so a word you cannot catch at full speed is still winnable. If you would rather read than listen, show the dots.

Questions

Is it the same word for everyone?

Yes. One word per day in UTC, the same on the web and in the DotDash app, so you can compare with a friend without spoiling it.

Do I need an account?

No. Your streak lives in your browser and nothing is required to play.

I cannot hear the audio. Can I still play?

Yes. Show the dots displays the signal visually, so the puzzle works with the sound off.

Where do I learn the letters properly?

The alphabet chart has every character with audio, and each letter has its own page with the rhythm spelled out.
